Donations

Choose the donation option that works best for you: send an e-transfer, donate securely online through CanadaHelps®, or continue giving by cash or envelopes at Mass.

Our parish relies on the generosity of parishioners, community members, former residents who now live away from Port Hood, and visitors. If you do not have envelopes or cash on hand at Mass, or if you are not able to donate in person, there are other simple ways to give.

E-transfer

You can donate to the Parish, the Parish Building Fund, or the Cemetery Fund by sending an e-transfer to the email address listed below for the fund you choose. If you would like a tax receipt, please include your mailing address or envelope number, if you have one, in the message field of your e-transfer.

CanadaHelps

St. Peter’s Parish is a registered Canadian charity, so you can donate securely through this link: . CanadaHelps is a registered Canadian charity and one of Canada’s largest platforms for online giving. You do not need to create an account to donate. If you choose to create one, your name and mailing address can be saved for future donations. If you have a Google or Gmail account, you will also have the option to sign in with Google.

Through CanadaHelps, you can make a one-time donation or set up a monthly donation. CanadaHelps will issue your tax receipt directly. You can choose to receive a receipt each time you donate, or have your donations combined into one receipt for the year. Payment options include credit cards (including Visa® Debit or Mastercard® Debit), Apple Pay®, PayPal®, and Google Pay®.

Please note that CanadaHelps keeps about 4% of each donation to cover administrative costs, so the parish receives about 96% of your donation. During the donation process, CanadaHelps may also suggest an additional donation to support CanadaHelps. If you do not wish to add that extra amount, please uncheck the box before completing your donation.
